¡Uno, dos, tres! Un cóctel en Valencia, por favor!

¡Buenos días!😘

¿Qué tal? means in Spanish "How are you?". For 4 days at the end of September 2018 I explored this amazing Spanish city. If you adore modern architecture, Valencia is for you! The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is a must-see during any visit to Valencia. Valencia has so much to offer: stunning beaches, delicious restaurants, cultural experiences, unforgettable sights, awesome nightlife and so on.

Day 1

Around 11 A.M. me and my best friend landed at the airport in Valencia. We were so excited to explore this city. From the airport you can take taxi or Metro Valencia. We chose to pick the metro. There are 2 lines at the airport (red & green). We found out that is a special ticket for transfer to the city and can be used only once. You can purchase it from special ticket machine.

Our hotel was a 4* fabulous hotel (Sercotel Acteón Valencia/Eurostars Acteón - click the link https://www.booking.com/hotel/es/sercotelacteon.en.html?aid=1971070&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2&label=ATB).

We had to change the line at the station Àngel Guimerà (and also to buy bus & metro tickets for the rest of the days) and pick the bus 92 till the station Port-Cases Carbonell. This hotel was near The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (1,4 km - 18 minutes walking) and I really recommend this hotel.

We were really hungry so we took the lunch (their traditional dish Paella) in Centro Comercial El Saler. It's a mall near The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. After shopping and photo shooting, we took the bus 92 from the station Port-Cases Carbonell 10 stops to arrive to the beach (Platja del cabanyal) - station Dr. Lluch-Pescadors, and walked 7 minutes. There we met another best friend and we walked on the shore of the sea. We found a big sand castle while we were walking.

Day 2

We planned to see a lot of sights in that day. Early in the morning, we took the bus to see the famous Puente de las Flores. After, we visited Iglesia de Santo Tomas y San Felipe Neri, Iglesia di San Nicolas, Central Market, Valencia Cathedral, Fuente del Turia (were bubbles in the fountain in that day), Bell Tower (Warning! 207 steps up, but the view is amazing), Palace of the Marqués de Dos Aguas (Wonderful), Valencia City Hall , Ateneo Sky Bar Restaurant, The Estació del Nord (outside)Basílica de la Mare de Déu dels Desamparats.

If you want to eat a delicious & huge burger, go to BertalIt's a fast-food restaurant and it's near Valencia CathedralAlso you must try The Oreo Cake😍. It's super delicious!!! If you want to see the picture, check the Facebook page Andra's Travel Bag (album ¡Uno, dos, tres! Un cóctel en Valencia, por favor!). At sunset we went back to The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias for photo shooting.

Day 3

Around 11 A.M our first stop was 270 Grados Sky Bar. To get there, you need to use the elevator from The Barceló Valencia Hotel (click the link https://www.booking.com/hotel/es/barcelo-valencia.en.html?aid=1971070&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2&label=ATB)It's a splendid view to admire The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias from the top.

After, we bought tickets to see The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, Hemisfèric, Oceanogràfic. If you don't have time to visit all in the same day, you can visit 1 in the next day. So we visited Oceanogràfic the next day.

Because Valencia is known for nightlife, at 11 P.M we went to a fancy club L'Umbracle. If you want to go there, you need to know some things:

- The entrance is 16 euros/person and it's included only 1 drink

- You need Passport or ID card (and over 18 years old)

- The security is like in the airport, so you are not allowed with food/drinks from outside

- Big bags are not allowed, and the small bags are controlled.

But the good part is that you will feel like a VIP and can take remarkable pictures.

Day 4

After breakfast, we wanted to visit Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia. If you plan to visit it you must know the following schedule:

- Monday to Saturday (10:45 A.M.-12:00 A.M.-1.30 P.M.-4 P.M.-5:30 P.M.);

- Sundays and holidays (10:45 A.M.-12:00 A.M.-1.30 P.M.).

Ticket prices:

- Free entrance for infants from 0 to 4 years;

- Adult: 10,60 euros;

- Reduced: 8,10 euros (children between 5 to 12, retired people, pensioners, unemployed, disabled people, students. Supporting document is required.).

After, we visited Oceanogràfic and I saw for the first time dolphins at Delfinario. The show was at 4 P.M. During the show, kids and adults were very happy to see those beautiful creatures. The soundtrack was awesome, here is my favorite song (Dear Life). At sunset, we bought a Lemon Cake to celebrate at the hotel the last day in Valencia.

I hope you enjoyed the article and took some great info for your trip! Thank you for your time and have a wonderful and inspiring day!
